Ticketmaster mobile applications experience high demand, heavily trafficked periods of usage when new concerts and sporting events go on sale. During these irregular and often unpredictable periods, monitoring and responding to real time data is essential to enabling the best fan experience. This talk will look at some of the ways that the Ticketmaster android team uses real time data from fabric and other sources to guide their decisions and how they can respond on the fly by selectively enabling or disabling features during these periods, as well as look at some interesting edge cases where using real time data have proved crucial.
